Curriculum summary
Holding a PhD in Agricultural Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, he is currently a CSIC scientific researcher affiliated with the Centre for Desertification Research (CIDE)-(CSIC-UV-GVA). His main areas of research are:
- Studying the water balance in agroecosystems and the ecophysiological response of crops
- Designing irrigation strategies to increase water-use efficiency in ecosystems
- Crop techniques to optimise the water balance in agricultural systems and obtain net savings in water use
- Crop techniques and plant selection to improve production quality, specifically grapevines for winemaking.
He is the current associate editor at Irrigation Science (Springer) and a scientific collaborator at the National Research Agency in the Department for Scientific and Technical Coordination, Assessment and Monitoring, and at the Ministry of Science and Innovation in the Sub-Directorate for the Internationalisation of Science and Innovation.
