Dr. Jaume Flexas Sans appears uninterruptedly since 2014 among the most cited researchers in the world, according to the Highly Cited Researchers ranking. Only 11 scientists from Spain have managed to stay these 10 years.
Dr. Jaume Flexas Sans, is Professor of Plant Physiology and member of the Institute for Agri-environmental Research and Water Economics (INAGEA) and the research group in Plant Biology in Mediterranean Conditions (PLANTMED).
Dr. Flexas’ research is mainly focused on the study of photosynthesis, particularly on the mechanisms of CO2 diffusion, its ecophysiology and evolution. He was awarded the National Zapatero Prize of the Spanish Society of Plant Physiology for Young Researchers in 2005 and the European Young Scientist FESPP Award in Plant Biology (2006).
