
On Tuesday, February 25, INAGEA will visit a committee from the University of Shihezi (People’s Republic of China).
The delegation included Mingxia Jing, Director of the Office of Exchange and Cooperation; Xinzhi Li, Vice Dean of the Graduate School; Wenting Guo, Director of the Graduate School; Yali Zhang, Dean of the College of Agriculture; and Liang Xu, Associate Professor of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
The main reason for the trip has been the signing of an agreement with the University of the Balearic Islands promoted by INAGEA researchers, to promote cooperation and international exchanges in the field of education, develop joint training programs and promote collaborative projects in teaching, research and student education.
The institutional delegations of the two universities participated in the act of formalizing the agreement. On behalf of the UIB, the rector, Jaume Carot, attended; the vice-rectors of Scientific Policy and Research, Víctor Homar, and of Strategic Planning, Internationalization and Cooperation, Marcos Nadal; the director of INAGEA, José Escalona; INAGEA researchers, Jaume Flexas and Marc Carriquí, and the head of the International Relations Service, Ricardo Sagrera.
Shihezi University is located in the Xinjiang region, in the north-west of China. Currently, we offer some specialties: Agriculture, Medicine, Engineering, Economics and Commerce, Management, Literature and Arts, Sciences, Education, Law and History. It has a student population of 41,000 people.
