The II RiscBal Conference, organised by RiscBal and the Institute for Agro-Environmental Research and Water Economy (INAGEA) of the University of the Balearic Islands, with the collaboration of the Balearic Government, was held this Thursday 27 February at the Centre Bit in Inca.
The conference was opened by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Policy and Research of the UIB, Víctor Homar; the Director of INAGEA, José Escalona; the Mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno; the Director General of Emergencies, Pablo Gárriz, and the Director of RiscBal, Joan Estrany.
A hundred researchers and professionals in emergency management participated in it, and one of its objectives is the transfer of scientific knowledge to face socio-environmental challenges, natural risks in the climate crisis or emergency planning.
